Youtube has decided to color the right side of the progress bar an ugly pink , a gradient from the old #ff0033 to #ff258e or thereabouts. No one seems to know why. Does Google just not care about the cognitive load imposed by changes like this?
A recent change (I think) to #YouTube's web UI (at least in dark mode) is that the progress bar is now a gradient from their brand red to deep pink (#ff0033#ff2790). I'm all for pink but first I thought my laptop screen was broken and colours faded on the sides, since the video was taking up most of the screen… 😅 but it's normal, yay! Not sure why but… why not.

YouTube has changed it's colors. The well known YouTube Red color is no longer red color #FF0000 but now it's magenta, and offset shade of red that is more Magenta #FF0033

YouTube Logo is now #FF0033

YouTube Playhead Bar is now #FF2790

specifically this is a gradient from #ff0033 to #ff2791
