Just finished the audiobook for Fevered Star by Rebecca Roanhorse (sequel to Black Sun from 2020).
Not gonna lie, it kind of suffers from Book Two Syndrome, in that we get a lot of exposition about what happened in the first book, some political drama, and really not much else. Still looking forward to book three, but this one wasn't a 5-star read.

4/5: Kind of a disappointment when compared with the first book, not gonna lie. I read the first book earlier this year, loved it, and added it to my favorites list for this year without question. This one is very clearly Book Two, in that nothing of any particular special note happens, but we get a lot of exposition about what happened. All of the previous points of view are here for you to read and digest their feelings after the aftermath of the first book. Lots of regret, lots of confusion, lots of anger to go around for everyone involved, which is understandable but also kind of....boring?...
@RebeccaBradley I'm listening to an audiobook of Fevered Star by Rebecca Roanhorse, I'm reading an old copy of Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro I never got around to, and an advance copy of A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon! Lots of good reads there!
