Out of the 12-ounce can, Oktoberfest Festbier produces a spirited blanket of khaki-off-white, resting on a clear pool of burnt gold. Receding, there is a thin band of lacing resting inside the glass and a small archipelago of lace on the surface.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of cooking herbs, cooking spice, and earthiness.
Sipping, we recover notes of graham cracker sweetness, some toastiness, more of that hop earthiness, cooking herbs, an almost woodsiness, and finishing sharp with bitter notes.
