Lunedì i due atleti accusati di violenza sessuale di gruppo sono stati assolti. Fernanda Herrera, dopo tre anni, ha deciso di mostrare il suo volto e ha annunciato ricorso. A suo sostegno, tra le altre, anche le associazioni Differenza Donna e Donne in rete contro la violenza. I fatti contestati risalgono ad agosto 2023 durante un raduno a Chianciano Terme: all’epoca era minorenne

Fencers acquitted of rape charges, the athlete who accused them: “It won’t end like this”

On Monday, the two athletes accused of group sexual assault were acquitted. Fernanda Herrera, after three years, decided to show her face and announced an appeal. Supporting her, among others, were the organizations Differenza Donna and Donne in rete contro la violenza (Women in Network Against Violence). The incidents contested date back to August 2023 during a gathering in Chianciano Terme: at the time she was a minor.

i just had a real bloodthirsty weekend and got a provincial bronze which far exceeded my expectations, and even today i beat fencers who are significantly better than me on the whole. and i've been told to join nationals in August.

i reckon this might be a good incentive to actually take fencing a bit more seriously? and really lean in to a high-performance nationals?

so what i'm asking is, does anyone have any good fitness routines for epee fencers? especially ones focusing on balance and stamina, i am quite ungainly.
