Crucially, you can tell how much traction body positivism had gained by the fast expansion of weight-loss drugs & their media celebration.

One in three women across Europe have been 'slapped, hit, kicked, raped or threatened with such violence' & this level has not changed in the last decade (since the previous survey).

Such attacks are under-reported, and if police across the EU are anything like the the police in the UK we don't need to ask why that might be...

But the real Q.; is how can we convince men this is not acceptable or indeed in any way warranted!?

I've been thinking a bit about my late mother today.... she died some years ago, but remains a significant influence on my political views.

She was one of the first female political agents for the Labour Party in London in the 1950s.

She was a leading campaigner for birth control in the 1960s/70s

And perhaps most importantly she instilled in me a feminism that shapes my every day practices & life.

'It’s clear from the evidence we’ve taken that there has been no improvement whatsoever in the barrage of problems that female workers in the City face at work in the last 20 years … it’s just as bad and some of it is truly alarming'!

Its been a boys club & remains a boy club with all the problems that one might associate with that term
