"The new cat species, named #Magerifelis peignei, lived in what is now #Spain some 15.5 million years ago (Middle #Miocene epoch). It belonged to #Felinae, a subfamily of small #cats having a bony hyoid because of which they are able to purr but not roar."

Today, I present you the MAJESTIC Canada lynx. It is native to the forests of the northern areas of Canada and USA (Alaska), and it's known for its beautiful fur and striking appearance.

The Canada lynx is an expert hunter, able to take down prey much larger than itself. It's also a keystone species, meaning that it plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of its ecosystem. Without it, the ecosystem would be dramatically different.

Unfortunately, the Canada lynx is facing several threats, including habitat loss and climate change.

With paws this large, it is best to admire it from distance.... I hope this GORGEOUS animal put a smile on your face!
