Been at an iconic beach and kind of taken aback how pathological this is - so many younger people are acting like Instagram zombies, they don't seem to have fun or enjoy the moment or the scenery, or each other, at all, they come, awkwardly search for a photogenic angle, set up an artifical scene simulating comraderie or activity, take pictures and shorts of themselves or each other while standing barely knee deep in the water or walking along the beach sexily or romantically, sit there for a bit in silence, and leave again. This just looks like a miserable way to spend your holiday. You just know they slap on it some vacuous hashtag like #authenticplaces #awesomelife #feelingthemoment lol
