We know that there are multiple similar services out there (FediDB, Fediverse Observer, ...).
The real reason we came up with that project is more the interest in the developing aspects.
We always wanted to create some kind of crawler and check out the Rust language. That's why we are writing the crawler in Rust.
Another thing we always wanted to learn is Spring Boot. So we are using it for our API.

Innerhalb eines föderierten Systems - ja, genau, in diesem Fall ist natürlich vom föderierten #Universum, dem #Fediverse, die Rede - ist es naturgemäß schwierig, einen vollständigen Überblick über Größe, Nutzerstatistiken und technische Details zu erhalten.
Mehrere Projekte sind im #Fediversum unterwegs und sammeln Daten von den einzelnen Instanzen.
Dazu zählt auch der "Fediverse Observer".

Wohlgemerkt, es handelt sich um eine Sicht auf Basis der zur Verfügung stehenden Daten des Statistiksammlers. Andere erhobene Statistiken mögen davon abweichen.
