Question for my fellow RSS nerds; Are there any platforms (either clients or servers / providers or consumers) that implement and use the RSScloud API system for a push rather than pull notification setup?

Seems like a neat way to avoid having feed readers spam your server looking for updates ( see https://rachelbythebay.com/w/2024/08/02/fs/ ). Basic RSS is brilliant, but been looking a the additional optional features lately.

The posts and toots in the #fediverse are shown desc by timestamp. On my experience this is the reason why posts are only reacted / getting attention in the first hour or so.

Does anyone know how good/bad this company is in term of surveillance?

Should I try to avoid it as much as possible to limit potential recordings of my voice and face or are they supposed to be well behaved?
Their ToS seem relatively harmless but the product does not seem to be open-source so I'm not sure how much one can trust it.

Are Cover Warnings (CWs) still valuable in an age where lots (many? most?) people use filters to block keywords and hashtags? I have many filters and yet I also set my preference to automatically uncover posts with CWs. I assume most people do this now so I rarely use CWs. Am I doing this wrong? Thank you to those that respond and/or boost!

Ok what are boosts on #Pixelfed doing? I've never seen boosts from someone else and when I boost something I have no idea where I (or my followers) can see these. Any ideas?

Hey Fedi, I need your help again!

My new job uses an exchange/activesync solution (not Microsoft, thankfully).

Everything just works out-of-the-box on Linux with recent @thunderbird versions, including the #calendar.
However, I cannot find how I'm supposed to sync the calendar with #FLOSS tools on #Android (#eOS to be precise).
Can anyone help me out with that?
