Ok legal peeps...

Say you get $100,000 settlement for an car accident.

You are awarded $10,000 Winter's fee (#Hammm? #Mahler?) to help pay legal fees.

Can the attorney take 33+% fee out of THAT??

They can't calculate the Winter's fee until after there is a claim settlement so how is that even legal?

By calling it "money recovered" instead of "settlement"?

Anyone?

If there is a fixed-length residential rent contract for, say,a year, can the user always terminate the contract earlier if they give a notice in 3 months (or other mutually agreed on notice period), or can the contract legally disable this option and force the user to rent the full time anyway.

The clerk of the Fulton County, Georgia, court system has acknowledged accidentally releasing what appeared to be a list of criminal charges against Donald Trump before he was actually indicted. In a statement released Tuesday, the clerk's office also sought to deflect blame amid mounting criticism from Republicans who have seized on the blunder to characterize the case as rigged. The statement comes on the heels of confusing comments from the clerk and her office that has fueled speculation about the document published by Reuters Monday afternoon hours before the indictment was handed down charging Trump and 18 allies over efforts to subvert his 2020 election loss.
