Weight lifting progress

In my journal I started listed out the current gym records, and from my notebook, the starting weights for those exercises. It was a bit of a shock! From September 2025 to March 2026, the increases from my starting weights are thus: * Leg Press double 268lb * Leg Press single 58lb

Quantum Tea

After a 3 week gap I had a session with my trainer in the gym and blasted through to a new record: 448lb on the leg press machine! Never thought I'd be able to do that much!

The barbell is still tough to lift, the hex barbell is a lot easier to hold. I bought my own barbell clips and tagged them with rainbow duct tape, the gym doesn't seem to have clips to use.

Today I made another sweat sacrifice at the Temple of Iron to keep the brain weasels from gnawing at me.

I made three new personal records today in the gym:
Leg press single/double 138/318lb
Romanian deadlift 70lb

I didn't feel destroyed afterwards. I did the red light therapy booth thing, which is like my introvert isolation pod with a shaking floor.

I'm getting closer to my goal of a 100lb deadlift!

Today's boot camp was a nice return to traditional form: eight stations, 40 reps at each then 4 laps, 30 reps at each and 3 laps, 20/2, 10/1 in ten minute tranches so 800 reps and 10 laps which was probably only about 1k/1.5k all in but tough with the fatigue after the 20 rep round (10 is always easier even though it's at the end because I'm locked in to just Get It Done). I'd done a cursory 3k run at about 6:30/km beforehand, the grass was annoyingly wet and partly I was on tarmac with lugs so not ideal either way.

* Squat bar twists with 6kg/13lb bar
* Thruster jumps
* Single arm overhead press with 8kg/17lb kettlebell
* Atomic planks
* Slam ball slams 5kg/11lb
* Tuck crunches
* Mack raises with 2x 4kg/9lb dumbbells
* Froggers (wide leg deep/outside leg squat thrust 😩 at speed)
