#FediForum2026 is coming up in April, 28th - 30th. If you don't know what #FediForum is, it's an online #unconference where we all get together, talk about what projects folks are working on, meet each other, etc. I've been to two of them last year and I've met so many fantastic folks there.
What other #conference are people going to that is related to the #Fediverse ?
I know #Fedicon is sometime later this year. I've already missed #FOSDEM but that'll come around again, next February I think?

May I make lemonade out of my inability-to-tell-5-from-6 lemons & suggest that *maaaaybe*, depending in attendee count, perhaps #FediCon can be accommodated en-masse as a Community Track at #FOSSY? I hope you'll all just use the application form to suggest & then discussion can spark from there:

Correction: I can't tell 5 from 6 sometimes due to dyslexia. FOSSY 2026 in same venue as FediCon 2025.
😲…I realized #FediCon is in *same* venue as #FOSSY!
I hope #Fediverse folks going to event will be able stay in Vancouver for FOSSY!
Also, I suspect #SFC would welcome a Fediverse track at FOSSY…

I got some pricing information from SFU (SImon Fraser University) about possibly using one of their locations for FediCon 2026.

The person who I talked to at SFU (Simon Fraser University) about trying to find a location for FediCon 2026 suggested I talk to someone else at SFU about a location for FediCon 2026.
I did. They responded.

We talked about what we would need for FediCon, in terms of a location, etc.
He needs to ask around (internally at SFU).
