On June 22 and 23 I took part in Mastodon Symposium. A couple of dozens of scholars coming from various disciplines (from media studies to digital humanities and computer science) gathered in hybrid to present their ongoing work focused on "all things Mastodon".
I presented my (very old) research exploring the concept of online "safer spaces" and the role of federated architectures in developing alternative forms of content moderation. This piece was prepared together with my dear friend Francesca Musiani.
