"…for the past year I’ve been experimenting with a form of #socialmedia called #federatedwiki. And it’s radically changed how I think about online communication & collaboration.
…just imagine that instead of blogging and tweeting your experience you wiki’d it. And over time the wiki became a representation of things you knew, connected to other people’s wikis about things they knew.

I’d like to introduce two different approaches to the Web: #TheGarden and #theStream."

Finally realised how prescient @k9ox was with his #FederatedWiki

Hi @Jermolene

Given the wiki-ness of #TiddlyWiki, is it a stretch to think of a #FederatedWiki of Tiddlywikis? Taking the liberty of CC'ing @k9ox 😀

@trondhjort @marick @newcrafts @kentbeck I'm just wondering if we could use Ward's Federated Wiki for this: possibly writing this book together? #FedWiki #FederatedWiki @k9ox

We have some experience with supporting collective writing of books.

@bhaugen
Wow I'd forgotten this long old thread on #federatedwiki and stuff. Just making a new link now, with the recent thread on #Earthstar @gwil

Not a strong connection, but wiki wizards continue to look for ways to make wiki fully serverless @paul90
THAT would be fabulous! I await the day. I've been thro hard labour this past year or two, seeking a wiki hosting platform that means I don't have to go up a learning curve myself as an admin - life's too short 🙄

Anybody know much about the Earthstar storage protocol? @bhaugen @edsu @[email protected] @[email protected] https://earthstar-project.org/ Looks like it's kin to SSB? It's a small and resilient distributed storage protocol designed with a strong focus on simplicity, and the social realities of peer-to-peer computing kept in mind. It's offline-first. Servers are optional. https://earthstar-project.org/docs/what-is-it Who's in the project? https://earthstar-project.org/community/our-backers Created by Cinnamon

@t73fde Re: Namenskollisionen / #NameCollision.

The localhost #FederatedWiki server tells you if the page already exists. In case of a collision, the client decides what changes need to be made to the history (keyword: journal) to bring the page to the desired state. The history is kept so that earlier versions can be restored (keyword: replay).
