Ich hatte mein erstes Smartphone Ende August 2023 bekommen (zuvor saß ich einige Zeit in Haft, als ich in Haft kam, gab es noch keine Smartphones).
Die Genoss:innen stellten mir eines mit GraphenOS zur Verfügung und ich will das nicht mehr missen.
Selbst wenn, was ich technisch nicht beurteilen kann, alternative App-Stores wie FDroid künftig nicht mehr funktionieren sollten, ist GraphenOS auch weiterhin die bessere Alternative zu einem normalen Betriebssystem, denn es lassen sich die Zugriffsrechte aller Apps zentral und fein granular regeln und alle Apps laufen sandboxed, haben also nicht ansatzweise die zahllosen Zugriffsrechte wie sonst üblich.
GraphenOS ist zudem besser verschlüsselt, und Funktionen wie Auto-Boot nach einer frei wählbaren Zeitspanne erhöhen die Sicherheit zusätzlich (wenn ich mein Smartphone eine definierte Zeit nicht nutze bootet es neu, was dann, wenn es abhanden kommen sollte, einen Zugriff im Grunde fast unmöglich macht).

Ik gebruik @CoMaps naar volle tevredenheid. Die werkt alleen offline met oogeslagen kaarten met OSM data op je telefoon of tablet
Als je dan toch iets in googlemaps wilt zoeken kan dat ook via "Gmaps WV Google maps wrapper" een app uit de #fdroidstore. Deze app verbind met de googlemaps website zonder dat te loggen.
Il faut pas hésiter à passer par une application #OpenSource, par exemple sur #FDroid. Personnellement j’ai toujours complété avec d’autres modèles météorologiques.
#Infoclimat : depuis un peu + de 1 an j’utilise @Infoclimat une association qui permet de créer un maillage de stations amateurs et professionnelles. Ce qui permet de savoir quelle est l’information météorologique la plus proche et donc fiable pour nous. (1/2)
Today I learned that:
• F-Droid faced controversy in October 2025 when it was revealed that the Open Technology Fund (OTF), a U.S. government-funded organization, provided financial support to F-Droid. By the way, OTF is an organization that supports global internet freedom, particularly in regions with censorship and surveillance.
• And apparently there was a policy change of F-Droid before, that labeled app related to religious texts like the Bible and Quran as NSFW (Not Safe for Work). They made changes to that policy later after community backlash though.

Anyone else having trouble w #Loops app crashing whenever you try to upload? I had this problem yesterday w my browser from the #fdroidstore and Im starting to suspect some age-restricted-internet-style remote shenanigans. Restarted my phone yesterday, it did not fix the problem
Fyi Im not a tech person, mainly wondering if this is a widespread issue or limited to my device so I know how much/whether to blame myself or the Epstein class
