Having a post (#toot!) #favorited feels good.
But having a post #boosted accomplishes something.

@simone when I started here I found a lot of like minded people by following #hashtags, and checking out the profiles (and #following) people who had #boosted or #favorited toots that I also liked.
Not so much about finding people, but also remember that boosting is how interesting posts propagate through the #Fediverse, so don't be shy about boosting anything you like.
And #welcome aboard!

I can’t think of anything else that upsets me about #Mastodon so I might just as well get back to the boosting issue.
I have a suggestion of the “what if” sort this time. What if your #home #timeline also showed #toots #favorited by the people you #follow. Wouldn’t it be nice to boost the boosting function this way and give an extra power-up to the content #distribution?
Ok, I may not be the first to come up with this idea. Maybe it has already been tested and proved technically unfeasible. But still, what if....

Ok, one more post but this time my #MainAccount will only #favorite it, not boost it.
#Edit1: first edit being done now.
#Edit2: no, I was not notified.
#Edit3: #NotNotified of any changes on my #MainAccount which has #Favorited this post.
#Edit4: but I boosted it with my main account now and...
#Edit5: I was notified after the #boost but not after the favoriting part... Let's unboost with my main account now...
#Favorited! Thank you for providing #Mastodon this #NSFW #content. I love it!
I'm going to add myself as a +1 to the "Mastodon needs to group notifications together" party.
Several people #favorited & #boosted a meme that I posted (not flexing, it was rookie numbers by most standards). On the #BirdSite that wouldn't be a problem the #notifications would be grouped by type. I'd see two notifications; one for "X & 42 others liked your post" + one for "X & 24 others retweeted your post".
However, on #Mastodon, each #favorite & #boost counts as its own #notification.
