Chiel G, NevelePlayed Fate Of The Elder Gods this week. First time for the game and first time on a newly built gaming table.
Game is an interesting area control/card action game with the #cthulhu #eldergods theme tagged onto it. It took the three of us about 2 hours for a first game with setup and learning of the rules.
There are some fun mechanics going on with playing as one of the elder gods with some special unique power trying to sacrifice cultists for points. You'll be moving investigators around to mess with your opponents. I did enjoy playing the strategic parts of it, but I don't think it'll be a staple on game nights for me. I should've realised that a game with 'fate' in it will also be relying a bit on dice throws. And one botched throw of 6 dice that land wrong will make you lose a game, no matter how clever you played beforehand.
