Dolores Huerta, the most prominent female ally of the civil rights figure Cesar Chavez, revealed on Wednesday that Mr. Chavez had forced her to have sex with him in the 1960s, a secret she had kept for nearly 60 years. After The New York Times published an investigation in which Ms. Huerta and two other women accused Mr. Chavez of abuse, she issued a statement and gave The Times permission to republish it in full.
