I'm pretty late for #VGMWednesday #FarFromEarth ... but oh, well. That's the work day and time zones for you.

Just to go with something nostalgic I'll put up "Departure for Space" from #Gradius3. I don't think anyone would put the soundtrack as a best of, but this one is burnt into my memory anyhow.

For this week's #VgmWednesday prompt, I was originally going to choose the Normandy theme from Mass Effect, but several other people already picked this this game series.

Instead I am going with #SystemShock2, which takes place on a derelict ship stranded #FarFromEarth. My entry is the drums n bass track from the hazardous tunnels of the Von Braun's engineering deck.

@miona is back with another #VGMWednesday . This week's theme is #FarFromEarth , so my pick will be Journey from a Jar to the Sky.

This theme is from the #Antibirth mod for #TheBindingOfIsaac Afterbirth. It plays in planetariums.

Planetariums are special among the special rooms of the game, as they are the only ones without visible walls. All there is is a door and a glass floor floating in a sea of stars.

Planetariums are so different from the rest of the game, that they feel like a place for Isaac to rest on his harrowing journey. The first one I found was so breathtaking.

For this #VGMWednesday I know just the song to fit with the #FarFromEarth theme, and that's Point of No Return from the Eschatos game, composed by the genius Yousuke Yasui (definitely check out some of his other work if you enjoy this, especially the Ginga Force OST)

I guess I'll participate in this because this week's theme is #FarFromEarth (space game music) and I want to share a great theme from a game that I like but many people don't: Mass Effect Andromeda (aka Skies of Arcadia in space aka anime Xenoblade Chronicles X which in itself is anime Mass Effect). Regardless of what you think of the game, the soundtrack by John Paesano is gorgeous and the opening theme has a very TV show feel to it.
