Watching Dougram with a friend who has never seen it before challenge: don't react to Hesse Carmel showing up for the first time with a non-speaking role in a shot by yelling "IT'S THAT FUCKING GUY!" :P

Rewatching #FangOfTheSunDougram, one of the first post-Gundam real robot anime by the future director of Armored Trooper VOTOMS, Ryosuke Takahashi (to show it to a friend). It is amazing how this is a show that is about a band of rebels fighting to overthrow a colonial government where approximately a third to a half of each episode is just middle aged jackasses of various incredible shades in conference rooms on the villain side having petty squabbles while having arm hair so thick it causes NTSC color artifacting.

It's like if a good chunk of each Gundam episode was the Zabis having daily meetings and trying to badger Garma into giving a speech while he's somewhere important but he doesn't want to because he was really embarrassed last week in front of a crowd. It's incredible.
