I once calculated the amount of energy taken by the "fast, high energy" wash cycle in my dishwasher, and by the "slow, eco-wash, low energy" cycle.
Guess which one used more energy?
The eco-wash did. Because, while it may have a lower kilowatts-per-hour rate, over the longer period, it used more total kilowatts.
So I feel absolutely guilt-free when I use the fast wash cycle.
Every student at #university today was born before July 2015, meaning every one of them missed the cut-off.
The #NHS [NICE?] never offered them the jab and NO catch-up programme was ever provided. A decade of students has passed through higher education with no routine protection against the most common form of bacterial meningitis.

Yesterday's news: sickness absence, driven in large part by a surge in mental health issues, is costing the UK economy £212 billion a year.
Today's news: NHS mental health services are closing.
If someone thinks that's going to save money, they are going to be sorely disappointed.
Also, quite apart from the money, it's just utterly cruel on a human level.

The hype I am seeing for "refurbished" or "renewed" hard drives for NAS usage seems like false economy to me. These drives need to be a heaps cheaper than they are to be the bargain that youtubers and tech blogs are saying they are. Some of these drives have in excess of 10,000 power on hours. It's been spinning for over a year and you're paying 80% of the original price?!
