@9Lukas5 Hm, OAuth is probably a thing here. FairEmail works for me smoothly via IMAP/SMTP and a mailbox.org account, but not using OAuth. So I'm not much help with OAuth.
"message shows up after successful login on the OAuth Website": Is the login done by FairEmail or an external browser? In the second case, transferring the token could be a problem. But that's a wild guess, tho.
Anyone else here in Fedi with some ideas?

I've setup the same Account on my Linux machine with Thunferbird. There it authenticated just fine and let go on. With FairEMail on Android it seems to try to access some other/additional permissions I am not allowed to grant myself.

Anyone know a way to setup this account with FairEmail aswell? 🤔

I can't help noticing that #FairEmail uses the most battery on my phone, checking for email all the time.

I wonder ... If I just run a few python scripts on a server somewhere that do the checking and then ping a notification via #ntfy to tell me to check "manually" if I could save battery and have the same delivery time?

I solved a problem probably only I have / care about in a way only I think is a good idea. Rather than the email client on my phone checking for emails all the time and using loads of battery, a script that does that on a server and tells me via ntfy https://git.m0yng.uk/m0yng/IMAPntfy

Quelle est votre appli de mails open-source préférée sur Android ?

J'utilise K9-mail mais je trouve que la collecte des mails est devenue super lente, et passer d'un compte à l'autre prends trop de touches à mon goût.

Testé Fairemail que je trouve un peu trop compliqué...

Pas testé Thunderbird.

Why on god's green Earth have some email client stopped displaying the actual sending address of emails? It's like they *want* more people to fall for phishing scams.

Ein Mail-Client für Linux, der wie bei #FairEmail (für Android) oder #Thunderbird (für Linux) keine Bilder oder sonstigen Dateien automatisch lädt und auch keinen Trackinglinks folgt oder vorher vor diesen warnt,
welche gibt's denn da ausser Thunderbird?

Muy mucho ha mejorado la versión Android de Thunderbird. Casi, casi puede competir con FairEmail.

Je reste très très très content de l'appli #FairEmail (sur android) que j'utilise depuis un bon moment maintenant (version payée, ça vaut largement le coup/coût). J'ai beaucoup d'adresses, du pro, du perso, et elle est vraiment efficace pour ce genre d'utilisation. Top !

(Je gère les messages de certaines boîtes uniquement via cette appli, celles que je ne souhaite pas avoir sur mon pc avec #thunderbird pour pas surcharger avec certaines newsletters par exemple)
