The Fadden By-election 2023 result is hardly a surprise. It was always a safe seat for the Liberal Party — heck, they were represented by the toxic ghoul, Stuart Robert. Given the scandal he created, and the Dutton Effect, it's a miracle the LNP suffered a swing of only 2.1% against them.
It's notable that Legalise Cannabis candidate won a substantial 9.4% of the vote, so well done to Suzette Luyken.
It's also notable that the Greens suffered a swing against them of 3.2%. Anyone know how that happened?
“Nonsense from David Speers about the Queensland election next year. The Fadden by-election was a test of the media. Against the backdrop of the Robodebt RC, it failed on the ground here. Australians would do well to review their media subscriptions. #FaddenVotes #auspol”
William Bowe aka Poll Bludger reporting a 7% informal vote
13 candidates is a lot
voters still getting it right though lol
Oh well, not unexpected but I was hoping for a swing against the LNP despite it being their heartland
Speers is right in saying Dutton will be gloating
Not ideal
