#Apple #FaceTime does not distinguishes a web link by name / tag as defined at creation. If, unwisely, it was decided to create more than one web link. A 0 day bug I understand. Doesn’t allow to Join and Accept in one tap even with one single guest present. Requires to Abandon even if all guests abandoned already. Opening the FaceTime app - instead of tapping the incoming Join request notification - doesn’t result in the active web link being highlighted. Anything else?

Ich versuche die Funktionen der iOS Geräte zu kategorisieren, aus Nutzersicht. iPhone kommt ja von Telefon, und hat sein Dasein der #Kommunikation zu verdanken. Das ist die wichtigste Kategorie, sie umfasst telefonieren - wo ein Umstieg („de-apple“ oder #unplugtrump) nicht komplex sein dürfte. Dann kommen #iMessage (abgeschaltet, aber da tut‘s schon weh) und #FaceTime (naja) und… #Email (#iCloud alias Apple ID). Anderes ist ursprünglich nicht dem originären Zweck des Geräts zugedacht…

Facetime Audio call from my Mac mini M1's desktop to an iPhone. None of the obscure, but visible buttons to end the call worked; in the end, only menu bar right click.
Same on other end - no way to terminate the call.

Awkward, uncomfortable. Doesn't just work!

ich habe gestern das erste Mal erfolgreich Facetime (Video-Chat) auf dem Apple TV mit meinem iPhone als Kamera getestet.

Das Erlebnis war prima und dank frei positionierbarer Kamera war die Unterhaltung sehr entspannt (gut 1,5 Stunden). Dadurch, dass die rückseitige Kamera des iPhone als Videokamera verwendet wird, ist das gesendete Bild im Vergleich zur Frontkamera extrem scharf. Center Stage zentriert anwesende Personen prima.

Sehr empfehlenswert ...
