On average, each copy returns $30 to Sony. If the rumored $250M investment is true, they require over 8M copies to sell to "break even", without microtransactions.
We will see what happens in the coming months if #Sony doubles down, or goes full ahead to #Destiny3.

Yeah... I don't think 1.2M copies of #Marathon across the board is going to appease Sony overlords next quarterly results.
#ArcRaiders sold ten times that.
My guess? If they don't pull a massive "Realm Reborn" and fire sale soon, people is going to forget about the game.

Seems that #Marathon has found its players and 50K is going to be their ceiling.
I don't know it #Sony is going to take that as a win or a failure, but given how much they poured into #Bungie for this game, I guess the latter.
Games like #ArcRaiders and #Helldivers2 are still going strong, and #CrimsonDesert has 200K players.
Should they stay funding Marathon?
