LA NOTIZIA: L’Ue contro Trump: “Ha attaccato l’Iran ignorando Bruxelles”
L’Ue torna a condannare la guerra in Iran. E lo fa con un attacco frontale al presidente degli Stati Uniti, Donald Trump. È il presidente del Consiglio europeo, Antonio Costa, a dire chiaramente che la guerra scatenata in Iran dagli Stati Uniti e da Israele è sbagliata anche perché gli europei non sono stati avvertiti, nonostante le conseguenze economiche e migratorie che ricadono proprio sul Vecchio Continente.

Costa, parlando con gli studenti dell’ateneo parigino Sciences Po, non risparmia critiche a Washington: “Non possiamo ignorare che, per la prima volta in assoluto, gli Usa hanno scatenato una guerra in Medio Oriente, nel nostro vicinato, senza fornire alcuna informazione preventiva ai propri alleati europei né alla Nato”. L’attacco agli Stati Uniti di Trump diventa sempre più esplicito: “Di fatto, gli Usa stanno portando avanti questa azione senza curarsi delle ripercussioni sull’economia globale, sull’economia europea e sulla nostra sicurezza. E noi ne stiamo pagando le conseguenze, con un forte shock economico e la possibilità di nuove crisi sul fronte della migrazione”.
Per il presidente del Consiglio europeo, l’Ue non deve reagire a ogni dichiarazione di Trump, ma deve imparare ad “agire da sola”, indipendentemente dall’alleato americano, sempre “imprevedibile”. Preoccupazione viene invece espressa dalla presidente della Commissione Ue, Ursula von der Leyen, soprattutto sul fronte delle forniture energetiche, parlando di una situazione globale “critica”.

The EU is once again condemning the war in Iran. And it’s doing so with a direct attack on U.S. President Donald Trump. It is the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, who clearly states that the war unleashed in Iran by the United States and Israel is wrong, particularly because Europeans were not warned, despite the economic and migratory consequences that fall directly on the Old Continent.
The EU against Washington over the attacks in Iran
Costa, speaking with students at the Paris-based Sciences Po university, spares no criticism of Washington: “We cannot ignore that, for the first time ever, the U.S. has launched a war in the Middle East, in our neighborhood, without providing any pre-emptive information to our European allies or NATO.” Trump’s attack on the United States becomes increasingly explicit: “In fact, the U.S. is pursuing this action without regard for the repercussions on the global economy, the European economy, and our security. And we are paying the consequences, with a strong economic shock and the possibility of new crises on the migration front.”
For the President of the European Council, the EU should not react to every statement by Trump, but should learn to “act on its own,” regardless of the American ally, who is always “unpredictable.” Concern is also expressed by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, especially regarding energy supplies, describing a global situation as “critical.”
