Am I the only one that is wondering why the #unplugtrump discussion is not emphasizing more on the fact that with the #tadpf out of commission, American companies like #microsoft #google #amazon #meta #apple & co actually CANNOT comply with #eu regulations like the #gdpr even on paper?

That is prevented by US laws like the #patriotact and the #cloudact which says US 3-letter services can access ALL data of US companies no matter WHERE it is stored.

@ilumium @EUCommission Not only that... #Trump also suspended #TADPF so the "rubberstamp" is no longer effective. Which in my reading means no American Company( #MSFT #google, #apple or #meta ) can comply with #GDPR and other EU privacy regulations because their loyalty is to the US first and they have to surrender all data if asked due to the #patriotact and #cloudact .
