Theo May's father, Ted Buswell (Theodore Roosevelt Buswell but known to family as "Pa") was born in the same little town as I was, Milo, Maine. His grandfather, Stewart Buswell, was Milo's last-living Civil War veteran. Pa was very good natured and remarkably photogenic. I like to say that a person could drop a camera on the floor and snap a great picture of Pa. Theo May's mother, Alberta Buswell (Alberta Sprague Buswell, known to family as "Marm") also possessed plentiful good nature. Marm was something of a timeless hipster, working early twentieth century slang, such as "the cat's meow," into contemporary conversations.
According to the Bangor Daily News obituary, Theo May worked for a time at one of Swan's Island's hotspots, Morrison's Restaurant.
Theo May contributed reminiscences to Buswell family and Swan's Island history.

Swan's Island has its own historical society.

I have posted a link to Etta Morrison's obituary in this hashtag-SwansIsland forum.
It was my good fortune to once meet Leona Buswell (known to family as "Onie") of Swan's Island, who is named in Theo May's obituary; and prominent mention is made of my former sister-in-law, Linda Morrison.
Swan's Island is a heavenly piece of Maine geography.
