Here’s how I combine the paper jewellery with watercolours and then add some wirework and bead embellishments into the mix for textural interest. It still ends up being easy to wear in terms of weight.

My #jewellery making actually began with #wirework.

It’s a way of making things stick together with the use of pro quality craft wire, with beads usually made of glass, metal and stone.

These earrings pictured are some of the things I’ve made. I’ve got more of an artisan style so I’m not everyone’s cuppa, but that’s okay :) I like being a bit different. Hopefully my patrons do, too.

A few years ago I decided to try my hand at making paper jewellery part of my practice. It’s lighter to wear, more ecofriendly than plastic and hand painted items are absolutely unique by nature.

So these are my Watercolour Earrings. Layers of Watercolour paper with a painted layer and resin finish. Very comfortable, all day wearable art. A larger earring without being heavy.
