So I was wrong when I said I was done pimping #Etoile
I should learn to stop making promises like that.
AS I was saying recently, when I like something I REALLY like it. Étoile is firmly in the set of things I really like ☺️ https://mastodon.social/@ianRobinson/114420443641909058
Meet the A-List Ballet Dancers at the Heart of ‘Étoile’ — and the Choreographer Who Hired Them

My constant praising of Étoile is now over. Until I decide to watch S1 again, of course.
I have to say, I might agree with Amy Sherman-Palladino when she says that dropping shows like this, one or two episodes per week is better.
Staged release gives more time for word of mouth to build. Dropping them all at once means some people can binge them and it's over in a weekend.
I’ve watched Étoile twice now (how was your weekend?)
It’s fantastic work. A workplace drama that happens to be set across 2 dance companies. It’s not a ballet documentary.
It seems the recent management changes at Amazon MGM Studios mean the original two-season order isn’t sacrosanct. #Etoile
There’s a section of Cheyenne’s solo dance in the Spark’s performance in the Étoile finale that’s in a few Kate Bush dance routines I’ve seen.
Not a criticism.
Apparently the two season initial order for Étoile doesn’t guarantee that the second season will be produced. After management changes at Amazon or MGM Studios.
So, I’m gonna need you all to watch season one so the numbers go up. Ta 😊
