Processing a week that has been equal parts exhausting, worrying and awesome.
Travelled to London Tuesday to see Ethel Cain live. She was awesome! Was not expecting such a show of lights and layers and ambience. We’re hoping to catch her again in Cardiff in June. I’ve gone from mum supporting her teens fandom yo being a total fan myself 😂
Due to being skint ( due to sprained ankle and twisted knee a couple weeks previous we had a lot of uber eats) I had to change the hotel from a fairly decent holiday inn in Hammersmith to a crappy hotel on the main Shepherd’s Bush road which meant a lot of walking and a lot of stairs and then the 120 minutes queuing at the concert venue. Aforementioned injuries still not fully healed and I’ve been carrying around a melon sized cyst for over 4 years that has caused a lot of back pain and weight gain.
When we first arrived in Hammersmith I got a call from hospital to attend an mri the next day (to examine cyst and plan surgery) so was then I worrying about getting back in time for that. Did it though!
So yeah. But fucking hell that concert was well worth it. My teens smile and cheers and absolute delight to be so near to her favourite artist was worth it!
