Rhätian #wallflower (Erysimum rhaeticum, Schweizer Schöterich) with a leaf #beetle probably oulema erichsonii.
Erysimum rhaeticum is a rare, perennial wallflower native to alpine and subalpine regions, growing on rocky slopes, dry grasslands, and limestone soils. It produces bright yellow flowers that bloom from May to July, standing out in sparse mountain habitats. This species is important for pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hoverflies, providing nectar in high-altitude environments where few other plants flower early in the season. Its presence is a sign of intact, nutrient-poor, and species-rich alpine habitats, often maintained natural disturbances.
A rare and ecologically valuable alpine plant that supports pollinators and indicates healthy, undisturbed mountain ecosystems.

Winter is coming, but it doesn't have to be without FLOWERS.
Most of my clients' flowerbeds need to be deer-resistant, and I've found Erysimum (wallflowers) to be just as reliable as snapdragons and foxgloves here in Georgia (Zone 7B). They'll bloom now until it gets really cold, but the big show starts in March and runs through May when all the bulbs are blooming.
