Naked Buckwheat (Eriogonum nudum) has one of the widest ecological ranges of any buckwheat species. It grows from wet coastal areas at sea level to the cold, dry elevations of the Sierra Nevada.

Anyone know of a really good key for Eriogonum in the western states? I seem to remember seeing a good one but I forget who authored it. It wasn't very old, maybe 10-15 years at most. #botany #plantscience #eriogonum
