I think the results of the Hungarian election may make putin even more convinced that illiberal/managed democracy doesn't work, but only totalitarian rule is stable enough, like in North Korea.

This is not limited to putin.
I may see other authoritarian leaders in hybrid regimes (Erdogan for example, but there are many others), who may choose to take that route.

Ich erinnere da gerne an Erdoğan, Putin, Ceaușescu oder Hitler. Letzterer konnte zum Glück seine Pläne nie verwirklichen.
