Oh look, a thinktank spruiking for fossil fuels: Norway + Equinor shows us how Australia would be worse off. #Norway #Equinor #Australia #AusPol #Climate #AtlasNetwork fyi @[email protected] What should Australia be doing instead?

What if Australia doesn't want to be corrupt like Norway @[email protected] @[email protected] ? Why don't we just decarbonize and get rid of fossil fuels for renewables instead? #Norway #Australia #FossilFuels #Equinor #EpsteinFiles #Epstein

@ketan @aj seeking to understand: if you've got a problem with Equinor, why is it fine & cool for the Australia Institute to encourage Australia to be like Norway, home of Equinor, whose taxes they rely on?
Norway needs to ditch the fossil fuel exports, as does Australia, not keep them around paying tax. Years ago, but tomorrow if anyone will have a chance of survival.

So, why is it that The Australia Institute keeps telling us that we need to tax gas like Norway, when all Norway has is rising emissions and ownership of who is doing it? Hi, Equinor, carbon major:

Climate groups stage protest outside Equinor HQ

CLIMATE activists staged an “oil spill” protest outside an energy firm’s headquarters set to start extraction in Britain’s largest untapped oil field.Posting its yearly profits on Wednesday, Equinor announced billions of pounds in income in the last quarter of 2025, explained by its CEO Anders Opedal as a result of “new fields on stream” and “record-high production.”The government is set to publish its decision over allowing the new project in the Rosebank fields.

Consider the fact that in Norway, Equinor is state owned, and is a carbon major with rising profits and emissions. Thinktank Australia Institute is encouraging more fossil fuels by taxing them, not less. Where's support for 100% renewables companies? #Thinktanks #Australia #FossilFuels #Equinor
