Guest article by Dr. #Bernd #Stein: "The #thing in itself"
In a new guest article by Dr. Bernd Stein, who has often published his excellent guest articles on my site, this time it is about the infamous "thing in itself", as one might find it in the introduction of the Aristotelian categories in scholasticism, the subsequent #universalism controversy (which I had already examined in an older essay "The Paradigm Shift") or in modern epistemology, which is essentially shaped by Immanuel #Kant's dualistic philosophy.
In this respect, Bernd's essay fits perfectly into the previous portfolio of this site, as in his very readable text he deals with the possible #epistemological limits of "physics" or rather physics. In particular, he addresses the supposed "intrinsic properties of an object" in order to show that, in his view, there are only interactions that may also apply to a special degree to "quantum objects".
