This is the final day of heriu-ronpet. Tomorrow is Wep Ronpet, the New Year, the echos and repetition of the first creation, the birth and rising of Ra on the horizon.

A thousand of everything that is good, to Netjer, and to each and every one of you.

She, Nebt-het, Who gives us triumph, Herald our victory!
The East wind meets the West, You O Divine Sister.
Lift Ra to Nut once more and let the darkness pass.
Midwife to life, we also mourn the fallen here
though death is not eternal.
Care for our agony and pain as if Your own,
O Mistress of the House lead us to contemplation.
We call to You to lift the veil, show that which moonlight hides,
refresh us at the Oasis between the desert and the hill.
She Who saves the Gods and protects the land,
with perfect love and perfect sight,
we praise You, offer to You every thing that’s good,
appease the flame and scorching breath
that we may rest in friendship and nobility.
Now and at our hour of end of life,
bring beer and grain and wine and endless meat,
we bend the back to You in great lament,
You grasp our hand, transform our sorrow into praise:
“Each moment is a choice, a gift, which does not change the past
but builds upon it. Each brick, each step, cannot be
for not the ones which came before.”
You before the dawn of the First Day, we call You down,
with us now and to the break of dawn.

She Who births the year ahead, rise up as Sopdet in the sky
and shine on the horizon.
We stand upon the outcrop; vast the waters flow,
She comes to shore and brings the Nile, creates the wind,
the wind cries back: "This grief that's down within the earth,
this mourning deep in You, and you,
it is released, and cooled, and swept away."
Wash away my fear, Protectress of all
Who lights the sky and splits the way for the Barque.
Make magic here, ebullience abound,
bring forth delight we meet with song and praise;
You who feeds the child and brings the Breath of Life,
yet many knives lay wait for those who harm.
Hear our sistra, know our hearts,
We speak our words to You that they are whole and true.
You the Power that makes Kings,
Who sets the sun disk at the sullen sky,
Your focus tasks us Zep Tepi ahead
we kneel before You now and request Your favor.

When I first met You and learned You are actually there, it was love at first sight. I knew immediately that no other Higher Power would ever take Your place in my heart. Nearly 26 years later, our bond is stronger now than ever.

You opened my eyes, You opened my mouth to speak. You filled my mouth with good, strong words of power. You straightened my spine, and You always rooted for me, even during the times when no one else had my back.

You taught me to be a husband to the widow and a father to the orphan. You helped me be kind to others, even when I am without hope. You have brought so many wonderful people into my life, each of whom I cherish. And You taught me that the single greatest magic word in any language is always "NO."

Happy Nativity my Lord, my Eternal Source, my Holy Outlaw. I will stand by You in this world and the next. I will offer You praises until the end of my days and beyond. I love You and worship You, and I hope and I pray that I make You proud somehow.

Bones of iron before Whom the sky does shake,
Who sends the storm above.
They say “He Who doesn’t care about the law”,
yet righteous swords do glint and arrows fly.
He Who fells isfet, poised atop the Barque of Ra,
outstretched hands fend off A/p/e/p upon the hour.
Heru takes the Shield and You the Sword, ensure our victory!
That which torn apart can fight as One against a common goal.
Abhorrent or Beloved, each in its stride,
a time for all, a place to rest, a day to be.
And be this day indeed, take up the mantle,
You of Thunderous Sky and Shifting Sand.
Be sharp as flint and swift as bird,
stealth of fish yet strong as raging bull.
He Who loves the fight, Who holds his head on high,
Who welcomes dissonance abroad yet beats the drum
compelling, every sound yields on His might.
I stand with You, Lord of Blades and Power,
