The Nutshell Pub, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

The Nutshell Pub is about 400 years old, though has only been a pub since 1867. It's also the smallest pub in Britain, only 15ft x 7ft, and able to fit just 10-15 punters in one go (though in 1984, a record 102 people crammed into the Nutshell). Inside is an odd, even macabre relic - the dried body of a black cat. This was discovered in 1935 and is possibly original to the building (a medieval good luck charm. #art #englishpub

An old English pub with an open fire,
A warm and inviting sight.
The crackling flames of orange and red,
Bring me such delight.

The ale it smells, Citra strong,
To make my heart, full of cheer.
It has been aged, many moons long,
For me to savour here.

On the February night outside,
