Next up was a visit to J. W. Evans Silver Factory. It was in operation from 1881 behind the owner's house & it only closed down in 2008. It's preserved exactly as it was the day it closed & it's a real insight into times past & an era before Health & Safety existed!

First of two visits today was to Kirby Muxloe Castle. Not much of a castle, really & unfortunately it was closed due to "unforeseen circumstances". We did get to see most of the castle from the moat & the castle itself looks to have been claimed by geese.
