@brunopostle It should be feasible, like there's an #EnergyPlus extension to #Sketchup.
@brunopostle I don't know about the relevance of #gbXML , beside it being used by #energyplus / #OpenStudio . From the thesis of MGVisschers, I get the impression that the format is supposed by all building energy simulation software. And I've seen there is already a well developed gbxml package on #pypi . To me, it seems obvious there should be a developed package for conversion between #IFC and gbxml.
#today actually plodding on with the #research #EnergyPlus work and had a series of minor revelations just now - may be able to hold thing the right way up at least... %-P
#today actually getting a bit of my #reseach #buildingPhysics #EnergyPlus #modeling done, because that's what sunny Sunday afternoons are *for*, right? Right?

#today had a useful Energy Group meeting in the morning, retrospectively fixed up the abstract etc for my #FOSDEM talk, and have created and shared the agenda for my PhD supervision meeting tomorrow. Also looking forward to meeting Prof Q tomorrow am who may be able to push along the heat pump (and building) modelling work that I need to do next. I may have to become an 'expert' in #EnergyPlus for this strand of my #research!

And and and ... I am meeting old friends for a meal this evening!
