A photo of a tenca, a bird endemic to Chile. Its song is one of the most fascinating among Chilean birds, as it tends to imitate other birds, giving it a wide vocal repertoire. In the photo, the yellow color of its head is due to pollen, as it likes nectar and introduces its head into in puya flowers (a plant endemic to Chile). The tenca is one of the most common and beautiful birds in Chile. And it was my father's favorite bird.

Endemic to the Western Ghats, this female Malabar Parakeet was flying and screeching along with 3 others in the flock. Finally they sat on a tree before flying off again to another one with flowers. Hallo meine lieben kleinen und großen Lebensformen,
bisher hab ich euch nicht mit tagesaktuellen Bildern versorgt, aber jetzt kommen aktuelle Bilder.

Das hier ist kein Schwarzkehlchen und auch kein Braunkehlchen, es ist der Kanarenschmätzer. Die Abspaltung von der Art des europäischen Schwarzkehlchen erfolgte vor 1,3-1,7 Millionen Jahren. Also vor verdammt langer Zeit. Dafür sehen sie sich schon noch ähnlich.

Tiere sind Freunde und kein Essen oder eine Plage.
Bleibt gesund, glücklich und verliebt.

Der schlimmste Seelenschmerz ist das Fernweh.

This isn't a stonechat or a whinchat, it's the Canary Island chat. It split off from the European stonechat species 1.3-1.7 million years ago. So a damn long time ago. But they still look similar.

Animals are friends, not food or a nuisance.
Stay healthy, happy and in love.

The most terrible pain in the soul is wanderlust.

¡Endémica es endémica!
Cuando visito el departamento de Risaralda no puedo evitar volver a Mistrató. Allí, gracias a la ayuda de Arnulfo Sánchez, pude pillar de nuevo esta bangsia. Verla es siempre una maravilla. Si se deja fotografiar, ni se diga.

En el Mirador El Roble - Birding, en Riosucio, Risaralda volvía a fotografiar la Grallaria alvarezy o Chamí Antpitta, la especie endémica de Colombia. Para quienes no lo recuerden, la cosa taxonómica es más o menos así:
El 20 de julio de 2020 andres cuervo publicó en Twitter: Con ustedes Chamí Antpitta (Grallaria alvarezi, sp. nov). Nueva especie de ave para la ciencia, de territorio Chamí

A la que antes conocíamos como G. Rufula la volvieron 5 especies:

- La de la cordillera occidental es la más rara, G. alvarezi o Chamí Antpitta (endémica).
- La de la cordillera central es G. saturata o Equatorial antpitta (pasa por ecuador hasta el norte de Perú)
- La de la cordillera oriental es la original, G. rufula o Muisca Antpitta
- La de la sierra nevada de Santa Marta es también endémica. G. spatiator o Sierra Nevada antpitta
- La de la serranía de perijá es la G. saltuensis o Perijá Antpitta (gravemente amenazada).
