My favorite 5-star book of 2025 is The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.

I read this book in February and found myself thinking of it throughout 2025. The sisterly relationship between Vianne and Isabelle was such a rollercoaster that was only intensified by the WWII events. The individual struggle each sister had to face was so heartbreaking, and their endurance was so inspiring.

Overall, this book was an amazing read, and I would 100% recommend this book. Since this book deals with heavier topics looking up trigger warnings is encouraged.

My most read genre so far this year is romance, based on stats from StoryGraph.

From the romance books I’ve read so far, Seven Days in June by Tia Williams is my favorite stand-alone novel. Although I had planned to read this book in June, I could not wait to read it and finish it in March. This was a 5 star read for me because I loved that the romance in the book was complex and showed real-life obstacles.

If you enjoy emotional yet hopeful romance books, this is definitely for you.
