The funniest thing about the myth that Emily Dickenson was this shut-in recluse who never wanted her work published is like

And I can't go five minutes after writing something before the gremlin in my brain goes "You should post about it. Put a link to it in discord. Get that validation babe!!!"

And not all brains are the same, but she explicitly sent her work out to be published!! That's not the act of a recluse hiding her work!!
