In a surprise announcement, #Oregon received notification of a presidential disaster declaration for infrastructure damages from a flooding and landslide event in March 2025. The notification, which came late in the day on July 22 allows FEMA to begin program delivery for eligible costs in Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties.
Projects will be written to cover at least 75% of eligible repair costs.
Individual assistance and hazard mitigation funding was not included, but are listed as being 'under review'.
Five other states also received disaster declarations on 7/22/2025.
