Oocyte survival 90%+ with vitrification vs 50–80% with slow freezing. Blastocyst survival 95%+ vs 70–85%. ESHRE 2020 guidelines recommend vitrification for oocytes and embryos. Slow freezing remains standard for sperm banking.
