When thinking about "sustainability"/the environmental impact of our activities we often focus on single use plastic. But how often do we consider single use glass? Glass has considerable embodied carbon and this needs to be factored into our laboratory footprint.

This bin is about 2/3 full of pipettes, microscope slides, and vials, many in perfect condition but needing a quick wash/rinse, tossed away. Maybe it's time we thought about this a little bit more. #sustainability #embodiedemissions
