Ein El Nino hat sich im Pazifik gebildet und das heißt es gibt wärmere Luft und wärmeres Wetter als für diese Jahrezeit normal ist. Immerhin nächste Woche dürfen wir mal schönes kaltes Wetter genießen wie es wirklich normal für diese Jahrezeit wäre.

Statements by Prof. J.Marotzke to press at #ExtremWetterKongress @DeutscherWetterdienst:
- due to #elnino2023 next year will be even warmer
- soberly considered: what is possible to meet the #climate target of 1.5 C will not be implemented -> we are on the 2.7 C degree path => early 2030s: 1.5 C target will have failed by then
- #Extremeweather will become normal
- If we actually did everything now to keep to 1.5, then the #emissions reduction would only be felt climatically 20 years later

- wegen #elnino2023 wird nächstes Jahr wird noch wärmer
- nüchtern betrachtet: das, was möglich ist, um #klimaziel 1,5-Grad einzuhalten wird nicht umgesetzt -> wir sind auf dem 2,7-Grad-Pfad => Beginn 2030er: 1,5 Grad wird dann gescheitert sein
- #Extremwetter werden normal
- Würde man tasächlich jetzt alles tun würde, um 1,5 einzuhalten, dann würden man die #Emissionsreduktion erst 20 Jahre später klimatisch spüren
