Trotz enormer Probleme mit meiner Technik bin ich mit dem Ergebnis ganz zufrieden. Etwa 2 1/2 Stunden Belichtungszeit über 2 Nächte. Einmal von einer Bortel 3-4 Gegend und eine Nacht vom heimischen Garten aus.

Resembling a trunk-like shape, it spans about 20 light-years and is a stellar nursery where new stars are born, with bright young stars illuminating its intricate structures.

IC 1396 auch Elefantenrüsselnebel ist ein Emissionsnebelgebiet im Sternbild Cepheus. Der Nebel zeichnet sich durch seine leuchtend rote Farbe aus, die von ionisiertem Wasserstoff verursacht wird. IC 1396 erstreckt sich über eine beträchtliche Fläche und ist Teil einer aktiven Sternbildungsregion. Die Aufnahme zeigt nur einen Teil des Nebels.
