My 2022 BMW CE 04 electric “bobber style” scooter in my 70+ year old garage when I was installing the new Puig brand Dark Smoke Touring windscreen on the 10th.

You can see my black temporary car after I sold my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. It was just too big to get into my old garage, the seats were uncomfortable, and the throttle was sometimes unpredictable and the steering could totally fail in a pending recall.

Ordered a new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness in Sun Blaze Pearl.

To get me to delivery, which was estimated to be sometime in October for the new Subaru, I made an agreement with the dealer to buy a 2009 Volvo XC70 with over 200,000+ miles on it on his lot and they would buy it back for what I paid for it less any taxes or fees, of course.

Plus, the Subaru will be easier & more fun to drive and deliver better than twice the gas mileage, so it’ll be a much greener vehicle. 💚

Thought I’d share one of my favorite “green” modes of transportation, my 2018 Juice’d Bikes RipCurrant S.

Have had this bike up to 32 mph on flat ground peddling my butt off along with using maximum electric power and have ridden it all over the trails in Duluth and nearby trail systems.

The wide low pressure fat tires make for an interesting ride on or off-road plus the Cirrus Cycles KINEKT 2.1 Aluminum Bike Seat post suspension combination with the Brooks B-17 saddle also smoothes out the worst bumps here, and we have some of the worst frost heaved streets in the Midwest.

We have many miles of paved and maintained unpaved trails around Duluth for most cyclists riding pleasure.

Duluth has partnered with several organizations to develop an extensive mountain bike trail system around the hills of Duluth, so it’s actually becoming a destination for mountain bike riders. 🚲

Took these two shots a couple weeks ago riding the middle section of Skyline Drive on my 2022 BMW CE 04.

It’s been a difficult summer for riding as I really don’t like to ride with the heavy wildfire smoke from Canada.

Just love this BMW electric “bobber style” scooter. Added a Puig touring windshield in Dark Smoke and really love the way it looks and the way it makes a nice cocoon of still air around the cockpit and eliminating all the buffeting on my helmet. Plus in some tests, it can get you up to 9 to 10% better range because of the aerodynamics.

The CE 04 has quick acceleration of 0 to 30mph in about two seconds, which is faster than most cars. It’s nice to ride around WITHOUT the sounds and smells of an ICE powered bike. I think it’s a much more enjoyable experience. Plus, you have incredible torque off the line and I can plug it in at home and charge it for merely pennies.
