So today my friend was looking to buy some electric fencing on another site. He said he didn't care if it was working or not as his wife's horses wouldn't know.
At that point someone said they'll test it. Apparently, they edge up to the fence inch by inch and if they whiskers stand on end they know it's energised and if they don't they know it isn't.
